Where Tarheshamine, Theshamine’s dark face, keeps secrets, Toishe shares them… but only with those to whom that knowledge will prove destructive. “I tell no lies” her priests intone in shrines, hidden in plain sight where they would surely be razed were they discovered. Toishe’s cult has proven the most difficult to eradicate, and paranoid historians are fairly unanimous that, despite the apparent success of the crusades so long ago, Toishe’s eyes remain just as firmly planted as ever.
In fact, a certain culture within Theshamine’s temple has sprung up to obsess over speculations about the latest deeds of Toishe’s doing. They attribute virtually every cough and whisper ever uttered from a throne to the puppet strings attached to Toishe’s hidden hand, and, most dangerously of all, skirt implication that the two deities are one and the same. Aurwane’s pious faithful quake for fear they may be right — but more for fear of the implications regarding their own behavior as well.
