Ghraevatr, the Green Man, the Wise Beard is universally known simultaneously as a psychopomp and cultivator. Specifically, he ferries new life from the “roots” side to the “leaves”… and the other way around. It is through his ceaseless efforts that the cycle continues, and his servants deliver newborn babes to their mothers as well as officiate over burial ceremonies in Wea’s tradition. Described as Wea’s wise grandfather in mythology, he is respected as a source of knowledge and wisdom, especially that gained through age and experience. He is also consulted in informal rituals to determine the best time to plant or harvest, as his knowledge of the cycles of life extend to all things everywhere: he knows the time of birth and death of the most minor blade of grass and the grandest king, and he shepherds souls with gentle understanding.
